#6 ROAD TO SUCCESS

SOME PEOPLE WANT IT TO HAPPEN.
SOME WISH IT WOULD HAPPEN.
OTHERS MAKE IT HAPPEN.

The words of a GREAT man, a GREAT athlete and a GREAT motivator. There is only one Michael Jordan.

I always refer to some of my personal experience when I want to explain something in my texts “in a easy way”. This time I will take MJ as an example.

Those of you who followed him during his career or later, read about him, listened to his interviews, watched a documentary,… however you know his life story, you know exactly what comes next. I would almost dare to say that there isn’t a grown man on earth who doesn’t know who MJ is and what path he took to become the greatest basketball player of all time.

When others were partying and sleeping late, he got up and went to the gym alone. When others were “resting” on their laurels, he went to do another training session. When the others were satisfied with their successes, he went to do another training session. His iron will to progress was stronger than all other “disturbing” factors. He was never satisfied with his progress and current successes, he always wanted more from himself. He knew he could always be better. He worked on himself; on his own progress, on his own development. He new his own goal and did everything in his power to achieve it. In my opinion, it exceeded all standards of “TOP” everything.

He knew how to accept defeat, but he didn’t want to accept the fact that you don’t at least try to achieve something.

He knew how to turn his weaknesses into strengths.

He believed that “talent” can win a game, but the team spirit and hard work win championships.

He also claimed that he owes his success to those who tried to stop him on the field.

His “principles”, which went down in history as one of the most famous motivational quotes, could be the driving force for any individual who wants to succeed on their path. Any kind.

The road to success is tumultuous and difficult. There are many “downfalls” and “mistakes” before reaching the set goal. If and when we learn from our mistakes and outgrow them. Mistakes and downfalls must not take away our will. We have to find a way over, around, past, through them.

It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.

DESIRE alone is not enough for success, it is only desire. A DESIRE with a PLAN is the foundation on which we can build further, but even that is not enough. DESIRE with a PLAN and HARD WORK are the keys to success.

If we want something really badly, if we are ready to work for it and IF we BELIEVE that we will achieve it, then the “decision” is solely up to us.

Unfortunately, every successful person is surrounded by many envious people with evil tongues. However, it is up to us to outgrow it, to deal only with ourselves and work on our own development. Even the surroundings begin to change when we change our thinking. We must not allow ourselves to be beaten down by negative influences.

One of my favorite sayings is: The lion doesn’t lose sleep over the opinion of sheep. Don’t doubt me or wish me to fail, I won’t, I can’t.

Surround yourself with people from whom you can learn from, exchange opinions, have similar views on the world, from the “better ones” we can learn something new every day. From the “worse” ones also, of course, but especially what we do NOT want from ourselves.

Believe in yourself, believe in your path, believe that you are capable of achieving the goal you set for yourself. Each in his own field. Where you have motivation, desire and your own “WHAT IF?” pulls you forward.

The road to success is not easy, but the goal reached is worth all the effort put into the point of success.

“Dreams don’t come true”. Dreams get “made true”
